Another picture form yesterday: an inner courtyard full of atmosphere, red wood and a few late-season flowers. It really is like a left-over place from old times. Today, I was in the “big city” and took lots of pictures of the old Swedish woodwork. This tree seems to match the classic Falu-red of the house. High-level colour-coorporation. Today’s production in the kitchen: 4 small glasses of red currant jelly. Am quite proud of the fact that the consistency actually *is* like jelly – all wobbly and see through – and it’s my very first batch! My idea of a superb way to celebrate a Sunday evening: fudgy chocolate/coffee cake served with vanilla ice cream. Match this with rain, candles and a movie. I shall not complain. For this picture, there is no reason. Apart from the small happiness one feels when entering a house where time seems to have been standing still for decades. And finding textured wallpaper, emboidered sofa pillow-covers, and floors covered in carpets like this one. Leftover red currant on a bush in my grand-mother-in-law’s garden. It’s the colours that I like – the red and the yellow. More nature art. I have stripped the appletree of its fruit – well… the ones I could reach. In lack of a wowen wicker basket with a red/white checkered lining (imagine that… how romantic), I used what I had at hand: my hat. Almost 2 kilos in total. So now I have to figure out if [...] One of my childhood-dreams is to one day have a library, a big one with walls covered in books. For now, I enjoy my mini-version… which is not so bad, since this one also has a big old armchair in it. I don’t mind the thought of a long cold winter when we have a garden shed stacked full of wood and logs… and a fireplace in the livingroom. In fact, I can’t wait for the snow to fall – and the hot chocolate to be poured. Waking up late to hugs and smiles. Enjoying coffee with milk, whilst listening to jazz, and watching the sun make patterns on my wall. A perfect Sunday in October. |
