Big Fish for dinner

Father-in-law went fishing yesterday and gave the catch to us. So this is a closeup of a 1,4 kilo-gädda (pike) ready to be served for dinner in the weekend. I got the honour of cleaning the beast this morning. Lucky me :/

The tree that shed leaves of paper

Yesterday I passed a tree that made me think it shed paper-leaves. The ground was covered in them. They were green on one side (like any other “normal” leaf), and white, almost blue-ish on the back. I like it when nature surprises me with something I’ve never seen before – like leaves of paper.

Boyfriend’s gravad salmon

Soft coloured baby blanket

This is what I am working on right now: a baby blanket made of all my little scraps of soft coloured seersucker. I am hand quilting this one too. And I have a feeling it will be quite pretty, the finished result…!
