Crochet and flowers

Flowers from my man’s parents, and my current creative project: crocheting granny squares. Slow progress is better than no progress at all I guess… so in a couple of years I will have enough squares for a bed-spread.

Lizard lizard on the wall...

I could continue for days, adding amazing pictures from our weekend in Athens, but I’ll stop with this one. Not typically Greek really, but I like it nonetheless.

The atmosphere of Greece

Another picture from beautiful Athens: blue sky and a taverna-sign. It doesn’t really get any more Greek than this. Well… only if you add the feeling of being on holiday, drinking a frappé in the shadow of a parasol while looking at life through sunglasses.

A wall of blue bottles in an Athens-basement

In mid March the whole family went to Athens for a long weekend of good food, sunshine on our winter-noses and relaxing in pleasant company. We returned home to Sweden with smily faces, good memories and a lot of pictures. Here’s one of my favourites: in one of the restaurants where we had dinner, the wall in the basement was decorated with dusty and unopened blue vodka bottles. It looked amazing, and I plan on redoing the wall if I ever get to own a house with a basement. Only not with *vodka* bottles but with bottles of homemade red currant and rhubarb cordial!

Springflower

Oh the joy of spring-flowers appearing in our garden. Not a lot of them, but pretty indeed.

Flags for fun

Behold: the result of some late-night-creativity, now used to decorate our staircase. And all of a sudden everyday-life is a little bit more joyfull.

Food on wood

Saturday dinnerOn a normal Saturday-night we had dinner with my in-laws. Lovely evening, and amazing food (as always), the whole thing served on a piece of wood. Very Swedish, and a bit christmassy.

On thin ice

Ice-art on the lakeMinus 10 degrees and a world covered in sugary frost. I love this! Had lunch in the forest yesterday, and saw the first small signs of seriuos winter: ice on the lake. Still very thin and crispy, but soon it will be hard and thick enough to walk on.

Food from a weekend in Copenhagen

Danish fish-foodA long weekend in Copenhagen, full of good food. Like this: butter-pan-fried marinated fish with ryebread and remoulade. Hurray!

Forest-landscape

Forest landscapeThe mood in the forest a few days ago. Cold, clear and with a fantastic fragrance.
