So. To celebrate a special day, we took a walk into the forest, where we sat by the lake and had coffee and homemade carrot cake. Beautiful and good for the soul (and belly).

So. To celebrate a special day, we took a walk into the forest, where we sat by the lake and had coffee and homemade carrot cake. Beautiful and good for the soul (and belly). Minus 10 degrees and a world covered in sugary frost. I love this! Had lunch in the forest yesterday, and saw the first small signs of seriuos winter: ice on the lake. Still very thin and crispy, but soon it will be hard and thick enough to walk on. |
