Minus 10 degrees and a world covered in sugary frost. I love this! Had lunch in the forest yesterday, and saw the first small signs of seriuos winter: ice on the lake. Still very thin and crispy, but soon it will be hard and thick enough to walk on.

Minus 10 degrees and a world covered in sugary frost. I love this! Had lunch in the forest yesterday, and saw the first small signs of seriuos winter: ice on the lake. Still very thin and crispy, but soon it will be hard and thick enough to walk on. When I woke up this morning, the snow was falling, and so far, it hasn’t stopped. I don’t think the ground is cold enough for the snow to pile up and not melt… but at least it’s started falling now. I tried to document the mood in the garden, but it’s a bit tricky to [...] Joy and happiness! Today, the very first round of snow of the winter has fallen from the sky. What a great feeling to know that this is only the beginning! Everything looks amazingly pretty, all covered in a thin layer of white crispy snow – the leftover parsley in the garden is barely visible between [...] I don’t mind the thought of a long cold winter when we have a garden shed stacked full of wood and logs… and a fireplace in the livingroom. In fact, I can’t wait for the snow to fall – and the hot chocolate to be poured. |
